TWO DAY TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Saturday, June 22: Round Robin Tournament. 12 pods of 4 teams, cities divided evenly.
Sunday, June 23: Single Elimination Tournaments:
Tournament A – 16 top teams
Tournament B – 32 remaining teams
48 Team Spots
32 spots reserved for Stonewall Sports cities: 2 spots guaranteed to each Stonewall city (if any city doesn't use both allocated spots by 04-19-19 at 11:59pm ET, the available spots go into the at-large pool)
6 spots held aside for non-Stonewall Sports cities (if unused by 04-19-19 at 11:59pm ET, the available spots will go into the at-large pool)
10 at-large spots (from 04-10-19 at 12:00pm ET through 04-19-19 at 11:59 p.m.ET; max 2 initial at-large spots may be used per Stonewall city. Remaining teams will be moved to a waitlist and will receive a spot in order of registration once additional spots are added to the at-large pool.
Each team must have a minimum of 1 player who identifies as LGBTQ and/or a player that has played in a Stonewall Sports league in the last 12 months.
12-18 Players – 12 minimum to reserve team spot, 18 maximum (8-11 players on the field).
A team is only considered a team when 12 players have registered and paid. Roster substitutions will only be allowed until Wednesday (06-03-19). After Wednesday (06-03-19), no players can be added, changed OR refunded unless cleared by the Tournament Chair.
$45 Per Player (plus processing fees.) Includes tournament t-shirt/uniform (must be worn Saturday; Sunday teams may wear their own uniforms,) water, awards, local food and drink specials, and an all-access pass to weekend social events!
All details outlined above are subject to change at the Tournament Chairs’ discretion. Captains will be expected to be the main communication channel for their players. All questions and issues should be brought to the Sports Directors to be resolved. Player conduct and game integrity is core to providing a positive experience for all. Tournament Leadership will have the express right to remove or bland a player without refund for violations of our player conduct policy
